You can go whale watching in Iceland all year from Reykjavík's Old Harbour, and in summer Húsavík in the north is one of the best places in Europe to see whales. Minke whales, humpbacks and white beaked dolphins are the most common sightings. Dress warmly, because it is always colder out at sea than on land.
